It looks like I caught Jeremy just as he swung Addie up in the air, but he had been holding her for about a minute by the time I took this photo. Adwen will even hold this posture when you put her in a chair so that she is supported by her head and feet and her rear is not touching the chair at all. Daycare called Elspeth "Danger Baby" for well-deserved reasons, and they call this one "Stiff Baby" also for well-deserved reasons. She seems to have some mutant gene that allows her to hold her body completely rigid.

Has your baby always seemed "stiff". My daughter's friend's baby feels stiff to me. I have had 4 kids and 8 grandkids and none of them have ever felt like this little guy. If you hold him to your chest you can rock him back and forth. If you kind of push the upper part of his body to you his legs will stick out. If you push his legs toward you his upper body will lean out. Has your baby been diagnosed with anything?
Did Adwen eventually outgrow this? One of my twin nieces does the exactly stiffness pose as you have shown in the picture. We were just wondering how concerned we should be about this and will speak to the doctor about it. Thanks.
